Abstract/Summary

Comprehensive record of the Control Tower prior to conversion and the architectural and historical development of the structure is discussed, as well as a review of its local, regional and national historical context. Supported by documentary research, the recording survey discusses the possible functions of the various rooms within the building and explored the relationships between them. Surviving original fixtures and fittings were recorded in detail.
