Abstract/Summary

A scheme of trial trenching off North Road, Retford was successful in monitoring the removal of top and subsoil horizons to assess the resultant areas for their archaeological potential. No archaeological deposits, features or finds were encountered during the evaluation. The trial trenching indicates that there is very low potential for archaeological remains to be found within the bounds of the proposed development area.
