Abstract/Summary

A programme of archaeological evaluation was conducted on approximately 2.5ha of land to the south of Dale Lane, Blidworth, Nottinghamshire, in fulfilment of planning conditions. The programme comprised a geophysical survey followed by an archaeological trial trench evaluation. The trial trench evaluation, reported here, was carried out between the 2nd and the 5th June 2025. It comprised the excavation of 11 trenches with 30m x 1.8m and a single trench with 35m x 1.8m. No pre-modern anthropogenic features were identified during the works with the only features present consisting of an animal burrow and a modern pit/slot.
