Abstract/Summary
A Historic Environment Desk-Based Assessment (Archaeology and Built Heritage) was undertaken for Yeoman Park Academy, Park Hall Road, Mansfield Woodhouse, Mansfield, Nottingham, NG19 8PS.
This report is required to inform Department of Education plans for the potential demolition and redevelopment of the Project Site.
There is little evidence for archaeological deposits to occur on the Project Site. Although there is some Prehistoric and Roman archaeology in the Study Area.
It appears that the Project Site was agricultural land on the periphery of the main settlement of Mansfield Woodhouse until the 20th century, when a school was constructed.
Construction activity associated with this building would have truncated any archaeology that might have been present.
