Abstract/Summary

A watching brief was undertaken on the installation of a tea-point and toilet in the west end of the church, with drainage to a septic tank under the footpath to the south door. The Norman doorway is thought to have been moved from the west end when the 15th century tower was built. Excavation for the tank revealed four inhumations probably of the 1830s. It was concluded that the footpath had been relocated to its present course after c.1840.
