Description
Excavation in area of new visitors centre.
TPAT was commissioned to conduct an archaeological examination within the grounds of the Minster Chambers following the demolition of an ancilliary building. Excavation was limited to the foundation trenches … circumstances also allowed the whole of the site to be cleaned and recorded beforehand. A watching brief was conducted on the construction of a porch on the W side of the Minster chambers. (2)
See E9085 for earlier excavations on this site.
