Field B, a N to S transect was walked to allow comparison of the relative density of finds from the ploughsoil over the villa site and within the road corridor. Finds within field B were recorded in the same way as elsewhere but the material was not collected as the area is not under threat from the road and it was therefore judged best to leave it in situ.
