Description

Watching brief to record any archaeological deposits disturbed during the excavation of pipe trenches for the installation of a new water main to the village. … At intervals of 5 or 20m descriptions of the stratigraphy of the trench side were made. The following four roads were investigated: High Street, Green Road, Cross Hill and Horsewells Street. (1) Grid reference around W end of area examined.
