Description

12 timber samples (cores) were taken from No.1 Bucks Lane. Dendrochronological analysis did not produce a firm date. Dates in the C15 were proposed but the cores did not have sapwood. Only one sample retained the majority of its sapwood, the last growth ring was dated to 1415 or 1456. The amount of sapwood lost from the other cores from timber with complete sapwood is highly consistent with such a last growth ring date.
