Description

The site is located at Farndon Recreation Ground, a c.4ha plot of land fronting onto the A46 Fosse Road. The proposed new pavilion is to be at the southeast end of the recreation ground. Following completion of the test pitting, trial trenches were undertaken. The first trench was situated over the locations of three test pits and the second trench was situated over another three test pits. Each trench measured 20m long by 1.8m wide. The evaluation did not reveal any features or deposits of archaeological interest.
