Kimberley Station (GNR). (1)
The Great Northern Railway introduced in Parliament a Bill for a new railway [from] Nottingham to Kimberley, and thence … to Pinxton. Parliament gave its blessing to the scheme in 1872, and [in] 1875, the first coal train passed … through Kimberley to Colwick. The line to Pinxton was opened to passenger traffic [in] 1876. (2)
