Full Description

Osberton deserted village. High tax quota in 1334, but fewer than 10 households in 1428 and a 33% relief in 1434. Plague casualty ? Listed under villages with separate mention in 1316 and in the tax list of 1334. (1)
Present owner of Osberton Hall was away at the time of the visit. Inspection of APs of the district, and a cursory examination of the fields around Osberton revealed no traces of a DMV. (2)
Tithe map 1779 inspected (NCRO ?), shows Osberton Hall only; no field names available. (4)
