Flour mill, c 1830. Near Gas House Bridge and adjacent to canal. A very large 4 storey building which is due for demolition. (10/07/1969). (1)
Originally a malting, sited on the canal, built between 1845 and 1880, now to be converted into 12 flats. (2)
Grove Mill, Raglan Road - C19 mill/malthouse on the Chesterfield Canal. This building was originally a malthouse (3) but later became a flour mill. Some machinery of the latter remains inside. Red brick, 4 stories, including basement. 13 bays long, kiln at N end. In reasonable repair, some alterations, windows blocked and slight demolition. Built 1837/8. (4) (5)
A small part of the W end has been demolished, but the rest of the structure is intact. In front of the only door in the W section is a large step. It may have been used to support a chute from the door to the barges on the canal. (6)
Converted to snooker hall. NB not shown by OS, but still standing.
