Full Description

Syerston Hall … [The] coach house … betray[s] a professional hand, that of Mr. Griffiths. Jacobean panelling in the stable block. (1)
Mr. Griffiths plan[ned the] … coach house 1801. (2)
Stable block, adjacent pump and attached hen house, c.1800. Interior ... has some C17 decorative wooden panelling. (3)
The stables are located to the NE of the house, enclosing the opposite side of the courtyard. Constructed in brick with a slate roof on a C-plan, this is classically styled building, predominantly of one storey but with a two-storey, two-bay coach entrance in the centre of the building. The coach entrances have basket-arched heads, whilst the projecting wings are decorated with blind recessed panels. (4)
