Summary

Gradiometer and resistance surveys were conducted at Willoughby deserted medieval village by Cranfield in 2012 to investigate the earthwork remains in three fields surrounding the medieval moated site. The survey correlated well with extant earthworks and showed areas of ridge and furrow in all three fields.

Full Description

Gradiometer and resistance surveys were conducted at Willoughby deserted medieval village by Cranfield in 2012 to investigate the earthwork remains in three fields surrounding the medieval moated site. The survey correlated well with extant earthworks and showed areas of ridge and furrow in all three fields. The areas were to the north, west and south of the moated manor site. (1)
