Summary

Gradiometer and resistance surveys were conducted at Willoughby deserted medieval village by Cranfield in 2012 to investigate the earthwork remains in three fields surrounding the medieval moated site. The remains of three filled in ponds were found in field 2.

Full Description

Gradiometer and resistance surveys were conducted at Willoughby deserted medieval village by Cranfield in 2012 to investigate the earthwork remains in three fields surrounding the medieval moated site. The remains of three rectangular ponds filled with brick and tile were found in field 2 to the southwest and east of the chapel. (1)
