Full Description
The former rectory is immediately adjacent to the church and was built when the churchyard was enlarged and enclosed in 1862 (Reverand J Henry Brown). (Oliver Scott, Pers Com)
17/01151/FUL Planning permission for Change of use and extension of dewlling (including demolition of existing outbuilding) to form C2 residential care home 2017.
The Old Vicarage was constructed in 1862. This two-storey, red brick, former rectory with outbuildings was constructed when the church was renovated and the church-yard enclosed. (1)
Outbuildings (NOW DEMOLISHED) were previously stables and ancillary buildings that served the vicarage and were constructed along with the main house in 1862. The range of building surveyed (in Jan 2019) were originally part of a slightly larger complex of outbuildings along the western boundary of the site. The two surviving outbuildings (Jan 2019) form a stable block on the west side and a small store room abutting the rectory itself. A previous building forming the northern part of the range of outbuildings has since been dismantled and appears to have been, at least in part, a pig shed. (1)
A victorian brick-built cistern for the house lies to the west (2)
