Abstract/Summary
A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken during development groundwork on land at The Old Vicarage, Langford, Nottinghamshire.
The site is archaeologically sensitive, located immediately south of the Grade 1 Listed Church of St Bartholomew and to the north of the earthwork remains of Langford medieval village, a Scheduled Monument.
The investigation revealed a sequence of natural, subsoil and made ground deposits and the brick-built cistern for the house.
There were no archaeological features or finds.
