One trial trench was located within an area that produce significant geophysical anomalies. Four pits were found where larger stone has been removed and waste (small fragments of limestone and soil) redeposited. No dating evidence was recovered. These quarry pits could be of 19th century date or earlier. (1)

A group of anomalies in the southwest of the first field partly correspond to undated quarry pits. It is likely that the majority of these responses are associated but due to the
archaeological responses in the vicinity, an uncertain interpretation has been given. (2)
