Full Description
Trench 5: : Curvilinear ditch [5007] north-west to south-east. Steep concave sides with a rounded base, 0.6m wide and 0.4m deep. Contained early-mid Iron Age pottery and later prehistoric flintwork. Two pits near the internal curvature of the ditch, both produced flintwork. Residual flintwork was also recovered from other features in trench 5. Trench 7: Single residual flint tool from a ditch. Trench 12: Pit containing flintwork [1201]. Two postholes found directly to the west of the pit, and the similarities to the pit suggested that the three features were contemporary. (1)
