Abstract/Summary

Report on an archaeological evaluation undertaken on land at the former Warwick & Richardson's Brewery, Northgate, Newark by APS in 2008. The evaluation and watching brief works revealed evidence of settlement from the Iron Age with densest occupation in the Roman period. Evidence is more sparse for Early Medieval and Medieval settlement but there was some occupation.
