Full Description

Trench 8: Lying in the base of a ditch a portion of an apparently complete inhumation burial was partly exposted, head 25 degrees due east of north. Following the insertion of this individual a brown silty sand was backfilled to a depth of 0.15m after which a complete dog was laid out on the same orientation. Then subsequently buried under the same brown silty sand which contained pottery of late 2nd to early 3rd century date. (1)
