Full Description

To the south of the field, at the very edge of the site is a small collection of linears, and to the north, a single northwest to southeast linear. Both of these are probably field boundaries.

However, it seems possible that all thefeatures belong to a Roman rural landscape, as Iron Age orv Roman crop marks have been identified immediately in the field to the south. Further Romancropmarks have been identified 600m to the northwest, with the nearest Roman road, theFosse Way, 4km to the west and the nearest town, that of Margidunum, 8km to the northwest (Armstrong 2014). (1)

Roman date suggested as it's on the same alignment to Roman settlement to immediate north and south of field boundary.
