Abstract/Summary
Detailed magnetic gradiometer survey was undertaken in connection with proposed development on land at Langar Lane, Colston Bassett, Nottinghamshire. The survey totalled c.19ha.
Previous desk-based research found limited archaeological potential within the site area, but noted the low-probability of the presence of an early medieval graveyard associated with the parish boundary. However, the geophysical survey revealed an extensive settlement, probably of Roman date, as well as several undated field boundaries.
