Full Description

In the western half of the trench was northwest to southeast oriented ditch, measuring 1.1m wide and 0.35m deep with a shallow concave profile. A fragment of brick and a fragment of roof tile were recovered from the feature, both of a probable Roman date. An environmental sample was taken from fill, however only modern rootlets with occasional straw and grass were noted.
