Full Description

A total of seventeen finds were recovered during fieldwalking. The earliest finds were four fragments of worked prehistoric flint. These all comprised small flakes, which could not be more accurately dated than as broadly prehistoric.

The pottery assemblage consisted of a sherd of 16th century Midland Purple Ware, and four sherds of 17th century black glazed redware.

Eight fragments of ceramic building material were also recovered, including a piece of 19th/20th century salt glazed sewer pipe, three fragments of brick and three fragments of tile, all of a likely 19th century date, and two undated pieces of daub.
