Full Description

An evaluation trench was situated in the south-eastern corner of the site. It was orientated east to west and contained a ditch, a gully, and a large area of modern disturbance.

The ditch was orientated approximately north to south. It had evenly sloped sides, into a broad
concave base. It contained a single homogenous fill, from which no finds were recovered.

The ditch is likely to be post-medieval in date, although it does not show on early OS mapping, and would have formed a field boundary running north to south through the site.
