Full Description

The posthole lay close to the centre of the trench. The western side was truncated by an early modern land drain, but it appeared to be approximately circular in plan. It had moderately steep sides and concave base and contained a single fill of greyish brown silty sand. Although some rare charcoal flecks were noted in the fill, no artefacts recovered.
