Full Description

The ditch was aligned broadly northwest–southeast, before turning sharply northeast at its northwest end. It was filled by a firm mid brownish grey silty sand containing six sherds of 5th to 9th century Charnwood-type pottery as well as nine fragments of indeterminate animal bone.

The fills of both cuts of the ditch were interpreted as natural silting within the feature.
