Full Description

Topsoil and subsoil were excavated by machine to a depth of 0.37m BGL to reveal 6 (possibly 7) postholes.

In the eastern area of the trench, a group of postholes (six in total) were identified some 0.37m BGL and formed an arc in plan. The postholes were either circular or oval in shape and varied between 0.2 to 0.3m in diameter, each contained a single fill of silty sand.

To the east of one of the postholes, the cut of a possible pit was identified in the section of a sondage. It contained a fine clayey sandy silt.
