Full Description

A single feature was identified within this trench, cutting into the substratum, however its alignment did not align with that identified during the field survey. The feature is a northwest to southeast-aligned gully with a symmetrical, u-shaped profile, comprising gently sloping sides and a flattish base. This was filled by a friable dark reddish-brown sandy-silt with occasional small rounded stone inclusions from which no finds were recovered.

The feature matches the location and orientation of a field boundary recorded on historic
mapping between 1885-1938.
