Full Description

A ditch extended from the northern limit of excavation and continued on an east–west alignment for
at least 102 m before petering out. It was found to vary in width between 1.3 m and 2.15 m and in depth between 0.07 m and 0.33m, and to possess a generally dish-shaped profile. The feature was typically filled with a single deposit of grey sand, and shows good correspondence with a cropmark
anomaly. No relationship was discernible at the point at with ditches it crossed, perhaps indicating that the two were backfilled simultaneously.
