Full Description

A ditch was visible at the eastern end of the trench which measured 2.3m wide by 0.65m deep with a concave U-shaped profile. The ditch contained a single fill comprising a dark grey brown heavy clay with pebble and small water worn stone inclusions.

No finds were recovered so dating of this linear feature were uncertain but it seems most likely that the ditch represented a former field boundary or may have formed part of an enclosure. A field drain post-dated the ditch running along the western side of the cut.
