Full Description

The earliest dated archaeological feature is a small Iron Age pit in the western part of the site. This is the only feature that does not contain Roman pottery alongside earlier, Late Iron Age sherds.

It contained two sherds of Iron Age pottery.

The pit was sub-oval in shape, 0.28m deep, with a firm, dark greyish brown silty clay fill.
