Full Description

Two ditch features were recorded in one evaluation trench, corresponding to two targeted geophysical anomalies. Both linears were orientated north-west/south-east orientation and were approximately 1m wide and 0.35m deep. Both contained a single, consistent fill, a mid grey-brown, soft, silty sand with moderate stone inclusions.

Another trench revealed a single north/south gully which was potentially a field boundary; which had been noted on the geophysical survey. It was 1.27m wide and 0.4m deep, with a steep, U-shaped profile. It contained a single fill, a mid grey-brown, moderately compacted, silty sand.

There was no dating or environmental material to indicate alternative form or function.
