A scheme of Archaeological Evaluation by Trial Trenching was undertaken on land off Tickhill Road, Harworth, Nottinghamshire, on the 20th – 21st of January 2020. The scheme was proposed to examine the potential for archaeological remains on the site. A total of nine trenches were excavated, five of which contained no archaeology. The remaining four trenches revealed scant remains of probable field boundaries and plough furrows; with no dating or environmental material to indicate alternative form or function.
