Full Description

A number of possible archaeological pit-like anomalies were located within the central band of the site. A group of pits would appear to be located in the south-east part of the southernmost survey area. These would appear to be associated with discrete archaeological features located in the area.

Another group would appear to be in the central part of the area.

These types of anomalies are composed of an increase in magnetic values with a patterning on the XY trace plot that is suggestive of buried remains, for example the infill of a pit. However their isolation means they do not seem to be associated with other features.
