Full Description

A series of linear anomalies were identified to the north-west of the supposed round barrow and were interpreted as a single enclosure with interior divisions. This rectangular enclosure appeared to be distinct when compared to others on site due to its lack of apparent complexity and/or phasing and its proximity to a proposed prehistoric burial monument.

One evaluation trench was focused on the southern corner of the enclosure, including the likely main circuit ditch and two linear anomalies representing interior divisions. In total, six ditches were identified, of which two were excavated, as well as a pit and a post hole.

No finds were recovered from the evaluation trenches.
