Full Description
Anomalies of both a definite and possible archaeological origin have been recorded within the dataset. The most prominent of these are a series of linear and rectilinear anomalies within the southeast corner of the Site. These anomalies are likely to be a series of contemporaneous fragmented enclosures given their proximity to each other and the respect to their orientation and positioning.
A handful of magnetically weaker linear responses on different orientations have been detected within the proximity of these responses and have been given a possible archaeological designation as they may also be related to linear and rectilinear anomalies. Apportioning a likely chronological period to these anomalies is slightly harder to realise given the small area of anomalies identified. The layout could indicate Iron Age to Roman settlement but given the wider landscape they could also be medieval.
