Cropmark, small D shaped enclosure. Information from D Riley's maps. (1)

Morph: 77/1/2 U Preh enclosure. (2)

One trial trench was located within the small enclosure originally identified as a cropmark and further defined by the geophysical survey. No convincing features found but two sherds of Romano-British pottery were recovered. This north-western corner is the most likely location for occupation within the site, associated with the field system. (3)

A ‘D’shaped enclosure has been recorded in the northwest of the first field. The results indicate that the enclosure had internal divisions with possible pit-like anomalies. Trial trenching after the initial geophysics found features but it was thought that they were probably natural, however, two sherds of Romano-British pottery were recovered from the subsoil. (4)
