Cropmarks of 3 circles, 15m, 20m and 40m in diameter respectively, and possibly barrows or ritual circles N of Nornay. Also faint traces of possible field boundaries as well as a possible 4th circle. (2)
Morph: 110.2.1-3 & 5 Bronze Age enclosures. (3)
Watching brief on pipeline. In Area D, a substantial ditch, orientated E-W and corresponding with a known cropmark. It measured c 1.5m in width and survived to a depth of 0.5m. Also a small gully, not identified on APs, probably because it was not large enough to affect crop growth. Directly above was a leached ploughsoil / basal soil and cobbles. The latter may have been laid down to form a crude metalled surface. (4)
