Full Description

During the course of drainage works being carried out in the small paddock immediately E of Corner Farm, a small cobbled area some 10ft square and bounded on 2 sides by the roughly pitched footings of a stone wall, was located 6in below ground level. Associated with this cobbling was a quantity of C17 pottery, 2 clay pipe bowls, a halfpenny of Charles II, and bricks and tile. (1)
Enquiries at the farm confirmed the siting of the works which were carried out in an old permanent pasture field. (2)
