Abstract/Summary

Report on a small archaeological investigation carried out by TPAT in 1991 to locate any remaining wall foundations beneath a large cavity in the main north-south running wall, prior to infilling of the cavity to forestall further wall collapse. A section of wall was found, believed to be a post-medieval support wall. A day of fieldwalking recovered pottery from Roman through to post-medieval date.
