Title Fullwood Grange Farm, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire - Geophysical Survey
Author/Originator
Date/Year

Abstract/Summary

8.9Ha of arable land split over 3 fields were surveyed. A former field system (the report suggests is probably Roman) – this lies towards the western part of the site and corresponds with the conclusion of the desk based assessment that the site would have been attractive to Romano British Communities. 2 linear anomalies of possible archaeological origin as well as an enclosure - the report comments however that these latter features may also be related to modern farming activities. Its stated that former field boundaries and areas of modern ploughing suggest that the area’s agricultural activity usage continued through the medieval period and into modern day. The remaining anomalies are natural or modern origin relating to land drains, ferrous objects and fencing.
