Abstract/Summary

A geophysical (magnetometer) survey, covering approximately 4.4 hectares, was undertaken on land to the south of Hollygate Lane, Cotgrave, Nottinghamshire. This was part of a programme of archaeological works in advance of a proposed development. The magnetic survey has detected a single linear anomaly which relates an existing bridal pathway. Additional responses are recorded in the form of field drains and ridge and furrow. The majority of the responses are of a modern origin. Overall the archaeological potential of the site is low.
