Abstract/Summary

An archaeological trenching evaluation was undertaken on land at Balderton Roundabout, Balderton, Nottinghamshire. The site is of archaeological interest as excavations to the southeast have identified prehistoric remains and the location of a Civil War siegework is located immediately to the north. The evaluation revealed three undated features towards the north of the site of indeterminate function and several post-medieval features towards the centre, possibly agricultural in nature. All the artefacts retrieved were post-medieval and included pottery, brick and glass.
