Abstract/Summary
An archaeological Strip, map and sample excavation was undertaken during a programme of ground investigation associated with a new residential development comprising four dwellings.
The work took place in the land adjacent to Ploughmans Avenue, Woodborough, in July 2015. The work involved the stripping of topsoil, which was monitored by an archaeologist.
Two small pits with animal bone were uncovered in the southern end of the site. Otherwise, no archaeological deposits were disturbed by the groundworks.
