Description

Watching brief on the course of the new Awsworth and Cossal bypass. The road would be about 1 1/4 miles in length. A corridor up to 40m in width was to be stripped by machine and obstructions in the way removed. Because of the nature of the building work, the archaeologial recording principally involved the making of a comprehensive photographic record, although relevant measurements were taken wherever possible. (1) Grid ref for NE end, at roundabout.
