Full Description

At "A" (map p 40) were found, about 1820, numbers of skeletons, feet to the E, showing Christian burial. (1)
Cemetery consisting of 10 inhumations excavated outside the south defences of the town, Although no dating evidence was obtained…it was presumed that they were either late Roman or pagan Anglo-Saxon. (2)
