Full Description

A collection of 20 anomalies at the north of the field, together they form potential square/rectangular enclosures, close to an area of identified palaeochannels. (1)

Two evaluation trenches in this area recorded a series of linear and curvi-linear anomalies most likely comprising small enclosures. One ditch produced a single sherd of late Iron Age/early Roman pottery. Another ditch recorded a total of seventy-eight sherds of Roman pottery and three pieces of struck flint. (2)
